The children in Year 6 have relished the opportunity to begin learning about ‘Wartime Britain’ this term across a number of lessons. In English, they have been reading and completing work based on Goodnight Mister Tom. Their extended writing task, to predict what happens next, was completed with such enthusiasm that Ms Coleman even paid them a visit to tell them how well they had done. An outstanding range of literary devices were used to complete this.
