Year 6 were 'soaring' in their Learning Outside the Classroom lesson. Using paper straws and pieces of card, the children were able to make straw aeroplanes following instructions (these were made in the tent on the field away from the wind). Once made, they tested their effectiveness. Some of the aeroplanes did very well. Next week, the children will be using what they have learnt from this to improve the design and hopefully the planes will fly better.
