On Wednesday 2nd February, our U11 mixed netball team competed in the School Games, Newcastle district round. The format of the afternoon was extremely exciting as in each match the children switched positions, keeping them on their toes and working as a team constantly to abide by the rules and score plenty of goals. The team played six matches, winning 5 and drawing 1, meaning they have progressed to the Newcastle and Tyne and Wear Finals! The team played some fantastic netball throughout the afternoon scoring a total of 25 goals. A special mention to Patrick, Anya and Ethan who were nominated for sportsmanship value awards of Passion, Determination and Teamwork, demonstrated throughout the tournament.
Well done the entire team. We are really looking forward to the next round!
