Although Wellbeing is always a top priority at NPS, this week saw the curriculum further enhanced with a range of activities focused on promoting Children’s Positive Mental Health.
Our pupils have enjoyed some inspiring activities as part of this focus week at NPS. The ability to find peace and calm, focusing on our own strengths and talents, and working together are just some ways that we have already began to build positive mental health and resilience in our pupils this week.
From yoga and tai chi, to Sense Strolls and learning new languages, the activities engaged in by all ages brought smiles to everyone! Children are familiar talking about the ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’, and can use this as a way to make them feel good…as can we all! If in doubt, they are: Connect; Take Notice; Give; Be Active; and Keep Learning.
If you would like to know more, there is lots of information on the internet such as https://www.mind.org.uk/
Although this themed week is over, the focus on Wellbeing and whole child development remains a focus as we look forward to what next half term brings.
