This week in maths, Year 4 have been learning about rotational symmetry. Using their knowledge of 2D shapes, symmetry and how to rotate around a centre point, the children were able to produce their very own designs. After this, Year 4 completed some Arty Maths to create a display for the school corridor; they needed to use shapes from triangles to dodecagons to create rotational symmetry patterns. The trickiest part was when the had to use oil pastels and watercolours to make them stand out, while also keeping them symmetrical.
What do you think of their hard work?
